Paris: snapshots of nostalgia, Europe 2012

It has been some time since I trekked around Europe. Being busy and all, *ahem I only got around to posting half of the locations I had visited back in 2012. I have since been on several other trips (Vietnam & Japan), which makes it difficult to attempt any form of catchup. Not to mention the memory lapse. I was recently craving food from France, so had rummaged through some of the old photos. Here are some snapshots from the very brief few days I spend in Paris

Visiting the Eiffel tower is a tourist must. Taking photos from around Paris, and from atop it should also be on the check-list. tick tick tick!

Stunning buildings across town.

Musee du Louvre, of course.

Shopping, beautiful historic arcades, gardens. Please do stop for a bite every couple of hours… king crab risotto inside Galeries Lafayette and Angelina‘s mont blanc dessert anyone? Don’t forget to get your fair share of macarons…

The views of Paris from Basilique du Sacre Coeur is absolutely stunning. It does get pretty crowded though. Stop by Moulin Rouge on the way?

Taking a stroll along the river Seine. Cathedrale Notre-Dame.

Lunch at Cafe des Musees. Absolutely amazing French shepherd’s pie and pistachio dacquoise, before a leisurely stroll to Place de Vosges.

Le Petit Chatelet for smoked duck with pistachio?

It was marvellous timing that Spring had come upon us, with gardens vibrantly abloom. Jardin du Luxembourg.

What is a trip to Paris without having Josephine Chez Dumonet’s duck cassoulet and Grand Marnier souffle.

Buckwheat crepes for afternoon tea? (Little Breizh)

Paris (58)

I loved Paris, and wish I had spent more time here… I will come back soon to eat my way through it all!

Just one word, WOW! I always have this thought, you won’t gonna like it until someone make you realize it is worth admiring for.
I’m not really into Paris thingy ‘cos I am more into Ireland place but your photos make me dream to visit Paris someday. And yes, food is essential. HAHA

… and the argument in favour of Europe next year (instead of the US) just got stronger! Stunning photos.
