Breakfast at St Ali – South Melbourne
Ok people, after much deliberation I have decided to streamline a few posts (particularly the return visits) so the time delay can improve from the current two month lag.
This is another eat out to celebrate mine and a few other friend’s birthdays β a big coalesce of binge eating and sugar high. Here’s a photographic reel of what everyone had for breakfast. Enjoy!
Graffiti art across the street.
Coffee.
and more coffee.
Regina fungi β slow baked swiss brown mushrooms, handpicked soft herbs, rocket, marinated fetta, poached eggs, toasted sourdough and balsamic reduction
Something boring – scrambled eggs
Miss lucy β pide with grilled haloumi, wilted spinach and bacon
Coco Chanel β French toast with berry and rhubarb compote served with a quenellle of labna and lemon curd
Childhood memory β plum and coconut bread with poached plums, coffee marscapone and cinnamon dukkah
Love from babushka β slow cooked large oat porridge served with poached quince, panela cane sugar, vanilla bean yoghurt and mint
>>> P.S. you can check out my previous post from St Ali, with a “proper” review.

ooops, typo =)
Totally diggin St Ali’s brekkie menu from what it it used to be a few years back but what I love most is their coffee of course. Can’t go past it
Oh how I love porridge, but the cake for breakfast thing is also up my alley π
Coco Chanel & Childhood Memory look awesome!! Each time I’ve been there though I’ve found the food a bit disappointing. It sounds like a great idea but sort of falls short. Must give them another go. Coffee is always incredibly good.
