The baguettes were soft and not at all tough. Given I have never been a big fan of hard-to-bite baguettes this was very much to my liking.
Pork rillettes, green tomato pickle & pyengana cheddar: had a pate like meat (salted fairly heavily, although it is meant to be so) along with the sourness from the pickle stirs a déjà vu in its similarity with ‘French-influenced’ Vietnamese style baguettes (without oyster sauce & soy of course). Asian palate sure is Asian… =P
Confit Jerusalem artichoke, roast field mushrooms, Fromage de Meaux & sauce vert: the ingredients had a good blend of flavours, but I was left slightly underwhelmed by the under-seasoning, which would have helped with the depth of flavour.
Coffee is great – nicely roasted.
P.S. Apologies for the lack of vibrant FOOD photos – I’m currently relocating my previous reviews from urbanspoon. Thanks for the patience =). Note: all my NEW posts have photos!
