Cacao’s macarons are gorgeously created with that subtle outer crunch & soft interior, with a decadent ganache.
Pistachio – my personal favourite out of the lot. A sprinkle of pistachio praline gives this macaroon that extra kick of crunch and flavour. Tasty!
Salty caramel – the name speaks for itself (equal favourite of mine!!)
French vanilla – the taste of pure vanilla lingers on the palate for quite some time. It’s very nice, but a little overpowering (rich) for my personal taste.
Hazelnut – strong aroma of roasted hazelnut with notes of coffee =)
Coconut – has quite a subtle taste of coconut. Not as strong or vibrant as the other flavours.
Tangy lemon – refreshingly sour! I get the shivers with that initial hit of tart, but ends with a pleasant aftertaste.
Dark chocolate – nice, but not memorable (not sure if it needs a stronger component of bitter to bring it to another level)
Rating: Yummy+1. Salty caramel & pistachio are a must try! Will be back to try the rest of their range.
P.S. Apologies for the lack of vibrant FOOD photos – I’m currently relocating my previous reviews from urbanspoon. Thanks for the patience =). Note: all my NEW posts have photos! EDIT – please see a new review ‘here‘.
