Miss Marples Tearoom

382 Mt Dandenong-Tourist Road
Sassafras

There is always an epic line when we come by Miss Marples – seems to me closing at around 4pm is an odd business choice given the weekend Mt Dandenong tourist crowd is still flowing strongly at this time. But then again they probably don’t care given how popular they are. This was seriously 3rd time lucky for us… finally got a table and they weren’t about to close.

The scones came to the table wafting steam and buttery good-ness. The quite unconventional cube shaped scones presumably cut from a huge slab (rather than the traditional free-standing round-ish ones) were warm, moist & fragrant. Brushed with home-made jam and a generous heaping of (dare I say a mound of) cream. Scone heaven!!! P.S. if your open to a different version of scones, this is the one to try. 16.5/20

Miss Marples sundae though very attractive from afar, it is WAY WAY WAY too big when placed in front of you to actually eat. It had so much icecream, cream, jam and syrup (serious sugar overload). I’m not a big fan of so much sugar, wonder why i ordered it…oopsy.
